WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for August 7 & 8, 2026: Gas Line Struck At School Building Site

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, August 7, 2026 and Saturday, August 8, 2026:

Friday, August 7, 2026

A caller from a Jewel Drive company reported a terminated employee pulled a knife during a termination issue. Police issued a summons for two counts of Assault & Battery with a deadly weapon. (10:28am)

A caller reported one of his operators hit a gas line at the new elementary school building project site on Salem Street. Caller reported gas is leaking out everywhere. Caller attempted to evacuate the area. Police responded and noted heavy odor and leak. State Police was notified to shut down the highway, but Fire Department and National Grid — upon inspection — gave the okay for traffic to travel through. Fire Department and National Grid handled the scene, with police’s assistance. (12:32pm)

D. Frank-Williams (30, Woburn) was served a summons for Larceny Over $1200, Utter False Writing, and Conspiracy. (1:11pm)

Saturday, August 8, 2026

Employee at Golden Ginger reported a female party is intoxicated. He tried to call her an Uber and that she declined. Wilmington Police notified Billerica Police, which will drive by her home for a well-being check and follow up on claims. (2:39pm)

Fire Department responded to a grill fire on Agostino Drive. (4:54pm)
