General Dynamics Mission System Receives $229 Million Contract From U.S. Navy, With Some Work Slated For Its Wilmington Location

Below is an announcement from U.S. Department of War:

WILMINGTON, MA — Last month, the U.S. Navy awarded General Dynamics Mission Systems a $229,658,178 fixed-price incentive modification to previously awarded contract for the procurement of 188 additional Hammerhead units and eight complementary peculiar support equipment sets.

Work will be performed in its following locations: Taunton, Massachusetts (55%); Braintree, Massachusetts (15%); Lincoln, Nebraska (13%); Wilmington, Massachusetts (10%); and Accident, Maryland (7%).

Work is expected to be completed by October 2028.

Fiscal 2025 weapons procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $229,658,178 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
