Below is an obituary from Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home:
SALEM, NH — Robert J. Arbo, Jr., 56, of Salem, NH left us far too soon after a motorcycle accident on August 7, 2026. He will be profoundly missed by everyone who had the gift of knowing him.
Bob grew up in Wilmington, MA and went to Shawsheen Valley Regional Technical High School in Billerica. He owned Acton Kensho-Ryu Kenpo, the karate studio he ran for many years. Bob found pure freedom on the open road astride his Harley. Bob enjoyed camping, his weekly dinners at Texas Roadhouse with his niece, and taking walks with the people he loved the most.
He is survived by his father, Robert Arbo of Salem, NH; his mother, Jeri Arbo of Wilmington, MA: his loving sister and brother-in-law, Kellie and Scott Marino of Salem, NH and by his nieces and nephew who lit up his world – Kelsie, Chloe, Alyssa, Cody and Kenzie. To them, he was Uncle Bob, a devoted presence whose love was steady, playful and absolute. They were the light of his life, and he was theirs.
Bob’s warmth, generosity and easy smile will remain with his family and many friends. The road feels quieter without him, but the memories of his laughter and the way he cherished those closest to him will endure.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Salem, NH.
