LETTER: Former Town Moderator Rob Peterson Endorses Gary DePalma For Select Board

Dear Wilmington Voters,

I ask that you please join me in casting your vote in favor of Gary DePalma as he vies to be re-elected to the Select Board and continue his excellent service to the Town of Wilmington.

During his first term, Gary tirelessly advocated for the townspeople of Wilmington and showed true dedication to our Town. Gary is always available to residents, and he listens to them as he navigates the myriad of issues presented to the Select Board. When planning a course of action for the Town, Gary weighs all the information he can gather and considers all constituent stances before making a decision. Gary truly represents his constituency on the Select Board, and I hope we continue to afford him that opportunity.

I may not agree with Gary on everything, but I admire his willingness to explain his positions and to listen to opposing viewpoints. Gary is a measured member of the Select Board, and I know that every decision he makes is done so only after careful thought and consideration. Even in times of disagreement, I have always found Gary to be respectful, informed and considerate; in today’s political climate the temperament Gary possesses is rare.

Wilmington is going to undergo significant change over the next three years, and those changes may very well dictate the next three generations of our Town. Having Gary DePalma on the Select Board will serve us well as we make decisions impacting our Town long into the future.

Please consider joining me in voting for Gary DePalma on April 22, 2023. He is deserving of another term, and I hope we grant him the honor of continuing to represent us on the Select Board.

Sincerely,

Robert G. Peterson, Jr.
