Below is a message from the Town of Wilmington:
Dear Residents,
Spring is here and Town Meeting is too!
Did you know the Town of Wilmington’s legislative body is our Town Meeting? The Town counts on Wilmington’s registered voters to attend Town Meeting to make decisions on budgets, capital projects, zoning articles and other items. Each year, ahead of our Town Meeting date, our Select Board meets to consider and sign off on the Warrant. The Warrant contains a list of the articles to be voted on at Town Meeting. The Warrant is then reviewed by our Finance Committee and Planning Board to allow them to dissect each article as appropriate and eventually, provide their own recommendations to assist the community in making their own decisions.
Then, it’s up to you, our registered Wilmington voters. You have the direct ability to attend Town Meeting, vote on these articles and shape your Town.
We hope that you are able to attend on April 29, 2023 at 9AM at the High School auditorium. The meeting will commence when there is a quorum of 150 registered voters in attendance.
