Select Board To Receive Updates On Wildwood School Project; DPW Projects; Library Director Transition; & Affordable Housing Numbers At March 27 Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Select Board meets this Monday, March 27, 2023 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There are some noteworthy items on the agenda, including:

• The Select Board will receive written notice regarding money left to the town by Adele Passmore.
• The Select Board will receive a written update from DPW Director Jamie Magaldi regarding ARPA-funded projects his department has overseen.
• The Select Board will receive written updates on the Wildwood School Building Projects from Town Manager Hull and Superintendent Brand.
• The Select Board will receive a written update from Assistant Town Manager Susan Inman regarding a transition plan for the Library Director.
• The Select Board will receive a written update from the Recreation Director on his department’s summer programs.
• The Select Board will receive a written update from the Town Planner on Wilmington’s subsidized housing inventory and its affect on the 40B laws.
• The Select Board will consider the request of resident Michael Murphy to fly the “Donate Life” Flag at Town Hall in recognition of April being National Organ Donor Month. The board will also hear from Murphy.
• The Select Board will consider the request of the Veterans Services Department to hold a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29, 2023.
• The Select Board will consider requests of the WHS Boys Lacrosse Boosters and the WHS Football Boosters to each hold car wash fundraisers in the Swain Green parking lot this spring.
• The Select Board will consider signing a licensing agreement for the Wilmington Farmers Market.
• The Select Board will consider the request of the Library to use Swain Green for numerous library programs this summer.
