WILMINGTON, MA — A new shake and tea shop has come to town.
Breeze Nutrition opened on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2 Lowell Street, Unit 6B, inside the Square One (Tremezzo) Plaza. The shop moved into the location that previously housed a similar business, Wilmington Nutrition, which closed on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
The shop will feature energy teas, meal replacement shakes, nutrition shakes, and sports nutrition drinks, as well as some protein bars and similar items. The shop is primarily a “to go” business, but will feature a small seating area with approximately 4 tables for guests.
“We also own Jet Nutrition in North Andover (125 Main Street). We’ve been there for 15 months and have become a very successful shake and tea shop,” said co-owner Kimberly Freccero. “We’re now looking forward to being part of this community.”
The Wilmington Select Board unanimously approved Freccero’s request for a Common Victualer License (which allows a restaurant to have seating) at its Monday, April 25, 2022 meeting, at the recommendation of the town’s Health Director and Building Inspector. Members wished Freccero and her team well and welcomed them to Wilmington.
Freccero noted the shop’s “move in” has been swift as there was no build out required as the previous business was similar in nature. The shop was open less than a week after obtaining its license.
Wilmington Nutrition shut down in February — just months after its sister location in Leominster — Leominster Nutrition — was affected by a fire in its plaza. Customers weren’t able to physically enter the store, forcing the staff to operate outdoors, weather-dependent, with a limited menu, for several months. Outstanding gift certificates from Wilmington Nutrition will be honored at Leominster Nutrition.
