POLICE LOG for September 17: Jehovah’s Witness’s Sign Vandalized; Drag Racing Complaints

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, September 17, 2021:
  • The sign for Kingdom Hall on Bridge Street was spray-painted with a red “G.” (10:12am)
  • An anonymous caller reported seeing 3 boys get off a school bus 15-20 minutes ago and take the Lucaya Circle street sign. Police responded. Not as reported. Boy found sign already on the ground and brought home. Police brought sign to DPW for repair. (2:34pm)
  • Police responded to a well-being check of a 78-year-old woman at Savers. Police drove woman to her home in Burlington. (4:29pm)
  • A caller reported 3 vehicles were racing up and down Mystic Avenue. Police responded and gave verbal warnings for speed. One driver admitted to being on his way to a friends house to play ding dong ditch. He was advised to make better decisions. (9:41pm)
  • Police used extinguisher on brakes fire for disabled vehicle on Ballardvale Street. (10:29pm)
