STATE REP RACE: Challenger Alec DiFruscia Outraises Incumbent Representative Robertson

Below is a press release from the campaign for Alec DiFrisucia for State Representative:

TEWKSBURY, MA — According to the 2019 end-of-year reports released by the Office of Campaign & Political Finance (OCPF), Republican challenger Alec DiFruscia outraised Democrat State Representative David Robertson in the race for the 19th Middlesex District.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported our campaign so far,” Alec DiFruscia said. “I’m excited to continue bringing our message to voters across Tewksbury and Wilmington.”

DiFruscia more than quadrupled Robertson’s fundraising for the reporting period, which covered the second half of 2019. The Alec for Rep campaign nearly doubled what Robertson brought in during all of 2019.

“Money talks – Alec’s support is strong and momentum is growing,” said Haley Jones, Alec for Rep Campaign Manager. “We have centered our campaign around doing what’s right for working families, and it’s resonating. Alec has made a name for himself as a fresh voice who will put our interests above the interests of Beacon Hill insiders. Today’s report shows that the voters of Tewksbury and Wilmington have taken notice.”

  1. 4 things I see here is:
    No Life Experience
Not even on a town committee experience
Running for the top local elected position (other than State Senate)
on a platform of no new taxes.
Does he even know how the State plans road projects? How many years they budget out for funding?
Also, he is challenging David but doesn’t even know if he will has a primary challenge.
Lastly, if it’s Ideology that you want then go for it, but It will be a wasted vote in the Legislature but
Vote Robertson for Pragmatism that gets things done and brings home the bacon for local programs and projects

  2. My husband and I will be definitely voting for Representative David Robertson for a second term for the Massachusetts House of Representatives when his time is up. We vote for the most qualified candidate, and David is the one for this position. The many years that David Robertson worked at the State House as an aide for the late Representative Jim Miceli, he grew into the position. He knows the position inside out. Raising money does not make the candidate. Knowledge of the job makes that difference. When the position is up for reelection, don’t forget, vote for Representative David Robertson.

  3. I did’t see one Wilmington donation. Did I miss them? Also I think about half or more of the donations come from out of the district.
