LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Dave Robertson Is The Best Qualified, Hardest Working Candidate In State Rep Race

To the Voters of Tewksbury and Wilmington,

There is a tremendous and rare opportunity in the race for our next State Representative, and his name is David Robertson. I am motivated to support him because of his proven experience and work ethic, innate integrity and unique commitment to civic duty; all required to get this job done well.

Everything in David’s life has led him to this moment. Raised in Tewksbury, he graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School, where he was a member of the band, track team, and mock trial, to name a few. He knows the importance of our education systems, and is ready to do the very best to assure that our towns’ students are receiving all possible resources and dollars from the State.

As a young man, he achieved Eagle Scout status; a youth program of character development, values-based leadership training and centered around giving back to communities.

Later, David graduated UMass Amherst, earning double majors in Political Science and Economics. He was active in the Student Government. He served as the Undergraduate Secretary for External Affairs, meeting with Amherst officials to discuss the impact the university had on the town, and how to deal with resulting conflicts.

All this time, for the past 10 years David has worked tirelessly for us- the people- and with officials of both towns at the State House with our late Representative James Miceli. He always has a keen willingness to listen to all sides and has learned how to solve problems at the State and local levels. He knows how to get things done in our best interest.

Personally, as a 30-year resident of Tewksbury, with 17 years working on several town committees and the Planning Board, any time I interacted with David at the State House, he always stood out as being professional and extremely knowledgeable on State procedures and resources. He would always go the extra mile, no matter what the topic was.

As I consider our future, I am inspired by David’s character and background. We are on the threshold where our towns can choose to have a State Representative who has proven to be committed and invested, and who is uniquely ready and able to be proactive on our communities’ issues and needs. David is truly, one of a kind. With him at the State House, we can be assured that we have the best qualified person and the hardest worker doing the job. He has proven this many times over the years and continues to do this now.

We have an opportunity to control our destiny, to place a genuine and experienced person, who has the essential know-how and dignity, in our Representative seat at the Massachusetts State House.

It’s time to step up and take the opportunity David presents to us.

I hope you will join me in being inspired to support and vote for David Robertson for State Representative on September 4th!

Very Sincerely,
Nancy Reed
