Dear Residents of Wilmington,
I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the residents of Wilmington for electing me to the school committee. It’s a great honor to serve on the committee and I intend to work hard to justify the trust that has been placed in me. I reaffirm my commitment to keep the best interests of the students of Wilmington in mind at all times.
I want to thank all those who encouraged me, talked to friends and neighbors on my behalf, gave advice, mailed postcards, put up lawn signs, wrote endorsements, and held signs on Election Day. Your generosity made the campaign possible and I am very grateful for it.
I want to congratulate MJ Byrnes on her reelection. She is a truly dedicated public servant and a great asset to the school committee. I also want to thank Jesse Fennelly for his dedication, good humor, hard work, and positive vision. He’s a good man who was running for all the right reasons.
Lastly, I want to thank my family. My wife, Jennifer, was encouraging, supportive, and always there for me. She got me through the campaign, and I couldn’t have reached this point without her love and her help. My daughters Eleanor, Vivian, and Catherine were good-natured about daddy always doing “election stuff,” but most importantly they were a constant reminder of why I was running for the school committee in the first place.
Thank you all.
