McCafé Shamrock Shake Makes Long-Awaited Return To McDonald’s

(NOTE: McDonald’s is located at 212 Main Street in Wilmington.)

OAK BROOK, IL — The one, the only, the original, McCafé Shamrock Shake is back. The legendary treat returns beginning this month for a limited time at participating U.S. restaurants.

The Shamrock Shake is made with creamy vanilla soft serve blended with Shamrock Shake syrup. The shake is topped with delicious whipped topping.

New this year, fans will be able to quickly locate the shake with McDonald’s official “Shamrock Shake Finder app” for iOS and Android phones. Fans simply need to download the app and from there, locate participating restaurants locations, swap Shamrock Shake-themed stickers and raise a shake with friends to toast St. Patrick’s Day. In addition to helping fans find the nearest Shamrock Shake, the app also features a brand new camera mode, featuring an augmented reality (AR) experience for iPhone X.

Since first launching in the U.S. in 1970, the Shamrock Shake has built an almost cult-like following. The shake was last on menus in March 2017.

Customers can also get their favorite McCafé drinks delivered to them with McDelivery on Uber Eats.
