The Wilmington Insider For October 24, 2017

WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Tuesday, October 24, 2017:

In The News:

Recreational Pot Sales May Be Outlawed In Wilmington: “The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved the town manager’s recommendation to put forth warrant articles to prohibit the sale of recreational marijuana in town,” according to the Lowell Sun’s Kori Tuitt, reporting on last night’s Selectmen’s Meeting.  Because Wilmington voted against the 2016 ballot question legalizing marijuana (6,569 in favor vs. 6,805 in opposition), it is able to take a vote at a Town Meeting to prohibit marijuana sales, subject to approval from the state’s Attorney General.
