WILMINGTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) today announced that due to construction operations on Monday, October 23rd through Friday, November 10th the Butters Row Bridge over the MBTA Railroad in Wilmington will be closed to vehicular traffic.
These impacts are necessary to allow work crews to repair damaged bridge timber deck planks and timber stringers.
It is anticipated it will take three weeks to complete the repairs. The daily work hours will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Affected traffic will be detoured as follows:
Traffic on the east side of the bridge destined to areas on the west side of the bridge will be directed to follow Route 38 North; turn left onto Route 62 West; and turn left onto Chestnut Street South.
Traffic on the west side of the bridge destined to areas on the east side of the bridge will be directed to follow Chestnut Street North; turn right onto Route 62 East; and turn right onto Route 38 South.
