Have you ever wondered why people keep referring to hashtags? Technology Librarian, Brad McKenna, will introduce you to the world of Social Media and demo how the library uses Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter.
Healthy & Allergen Free Holiday Baking *RR

Do food allergies or dietary restrictions prevent your family members from enjoying the sweets they crave? Would you like to know how to adapt your favorite baked recipes to accommodate almost any food need you and your family have? Learn the “secrets” to substituting ingredients in recipes to create desserts which not only are healthier for you but delicious tasting, too. Paula Castner brings her expertise in a workshop format, including desserts for sampling and handouts to bring home.

Whether you are drafting a short story or a novel, joining our Critique Group is a great opportunity to meet other writers and get constructive feedback in a supportive environment. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials before the meeting. Open to all experience levels writing in all genres. The Festive Table *RR

Learn to combine fruits, vegetables and nuts with locally harvested greens and berries to decorate your home and table for Thanksgiving and the winter holidays. Betsy will share ideas and techniques for seasonal centerpieces, guest favors and door decorations, and she will demonstrate how to create a fresh winter potpourri. Attendees will each make an apple candle to use on their holiday table.

Kindergarten Book Club *RR

This book club is for Kindergarteners who miss storytime or those who love to be read to. We will read and discuss a few books together, then do a fun activity.
The library’s Needleworkers group that meets at the library on Friday morning has donated a variety of lovely items for a raffle with proceeds all going to the Friends of the Library. Tickets are 10 for $5. Select your favorite item and drop your ticket into the bucket. Winners will be drawn on November 17. Great gifts for the holidays!
