WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Monday, October 23, 2017:

In The News:

Haunted Woods: In case you missed it this weekend, you’ll have one more weekend to experience Haunted Woods. Wilmington Town Crier recently interviewed organizer Stephen Valenti and Town Museum Curator Terry McDermott. The Woods, held behind the Town Museum, is open from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28. Tickets cost $10 per adults and $7 per students. WHS CATS is selling snacks and beverages.

Happening Today:

Weather: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Traffic Advisory: Butters Row Bridge will be closed through November 10. The MassDOT are repairing damaged bridge timber deck planks and timber stringers. Work will take place daily from 7am to 7pm. Detour routes are posted HERE.

Fall Yardwaste: The Town will collect leaves and grass clippings placed in biodegradable paper bags or uncovered barrels at curbside on regular trash collection days over the next five weeks.

In The Community: The Wilmington Catholic Collaborative has organized a presentation at 6:30pm at Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). Learn more HERE.

At Town Hall: The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meet at 7pm in Wilmington Town Hall’s Room 9. Read the agenda HERE.  The Finance Committee has been invited to attend the meeting.

At Town Hall (Part 2): The Wilmington Community Development Technical Review Team meets at 9:30am in Wilmington Town Hall’s Room 9. Read the agenda HERE.

At Wilmington Public Schools: Wilmington SEPAC is holding “An IEP For My Child” presentation at 6:30pm in the WHS Large Media Room… The Wilmington Middle School PAC meets at 6pm in the WMS Library… The Wildwood & Boutwell School Advisory Council meets at Wildwood at 9:30am…. The Woburn Street School Advisory Council meets at the school at 3pm.
