5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (July 6, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.

#1)  Wilmington Recreation Department’s 4-week free Concert on the Commons series begins tonight with folk duo Howie Newman and Jackie Damsky from 6:30pm to 8pm. Learn more about the musicians HERE.  If you’re going, make sure to bring a few extra dollars to buy a drink or snack from the Wilmington High School Band Parents booth! #2) The Wilmington Conservation Commission meets at 7pm at Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.

#3) Today is the FINAL DAY to vote online in Boston Magazine‘s “Battle of the Burgers “contest to support Wilmington’s own Red Heat Tavern, plus the Boston Burger Company, which is owned by a Wilmington resident.  Learn more HERE.

#4) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE programs — Read To Zoey (11am-noon); a Device Drop-In (2pm-3pm); and Bugging Out With Marvelous Marvin (6:30pm-7:30pm).  Learn more and register HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Wednesday activities — SBF Exercise (9:45am); Special Exercise (11am); and Country Line Dancing (1pm). Learn more HERE.

PLUS:  The Wilmington Police Department offers safety seat installs at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street) every Wednesday, 10am-2pm. No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead at 978-658-5071 is recommended. Learn more HERE.
