The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following activities or events: Needleworkers (10am).
The Wilmington Senior Center (130 Main Street) is holding the following classes and activities: Zumba (9am); Pickleball (9am); Wood Carving (10am); Cornhole (10am); My Life My Health (10am); Sewing (noon); Chair Yoga (noon); Women’s Billiards (12:30pm); Halloween Party (1pm); Poker (1pm); Chess (1pm); and Fit N Trim (1:30pm). DEADLINE TODAY: The Senior Citizen Work Program offers Wilmington residents the opportunity to work off a portion of their property tax by working part-time for the Town. The purpose of the program is to assist seniors in reducing their property tax burden. Participants MUST be Wilmington residents occupying a house for which property taxes are paid (or spouse of homeowner), have limited financial resources and be 60 years of age or older as of January 1, 2027. Applications are available in the Town Manager’s Office and at the Senior Center. The application deadline is Friday, October 30, 2026. All seniors, regardless of past participation however, are encouraged to apply. Job listings and program information are on the application.
TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
