Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:
WILMINGTON, MA — Jason Christopher Guy, age 47, of Tewksbury, passed away on October 17, 2026.
Jay was born on September 29, 1979, in Winchester, MA; he was the son of James and Lorraine (Collins) Guy. He grew up in Wilmington, where he attended Wilmington Public Schools before graduating from Shawsheen Valley Technical High School with the Class of 1998, specializing in automotive technology.
On November 5, 2004, Jay married the love of his life, Jenifer L. (FitzPatrick) Guy. Together, they made their home in Tewksbury, where they raised their beloved daughter, Jacquelyn. Jay’s greatest joy was his family, and he treasured the time they spent together, making memories that would last a lifetime.
Jay was a hardworking and talented man who took great pride in everything he did. For over ten years, he owned and operated Auto Repair Guy on Main Street in Wilmington. His extensive knowledge of mechanics and willingness to help others made him much more than a mechanic to his customers. Many became good friends, and Jay was always happy to lend a hand, solve a problem, or go the extra mile for someone in need. After closing the shop, he started Contracting Guy, Inc., based in Tewksbury, where he continued to put his skills and dedication to work, helping clients bring their projects to life. Most recently, Jay was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Dagle Electrical Construction Corp.
While Jay took great pride in his work, nothing meant more to him than his family and the life they built together. New Hampshire held a special place in Jay’s heart and became an important part of their family traditions. Every Friday, Jay, Jenifer, Jacquelyn and their dogs, would head north to spend time on their boat, to enjoy Lake Winnipesaukee and weekends together as a family. Those were amongst Jay’s happiest times. This led him and his family to find a piece of land in Bridgewater, NH to build their dream home where they planned to retire. Their dream was starting to become a reality as they built the house together with the help of friends. Jay’s dream was coming true to make New Hampshire their permanent home and make memories for years to come.
Jay was truly the life of the party. He loved being surrounded by friends, catching up on everyone’s lives, and always seemed to know the latest news. His quick wit, playful personality, and wonderful sense of humor made him unforgettable. Whether he was sharing a laugh, making a funny face in a photograph, or bringing people together, Jay had a way of making every gathering more fun. He never took himself too seriously and had a gift for making others smile. Jay was amazing with all kids, as they were naturally drawn to his personality and silly sense of humor. He adored all his nieces, nephews, neighborhood kids, and especially his Goddaughter Madison.
Jay also had a special love for animals, each of whom held a place in his heart. He adored his dogs, Daisy, Fred, and Walter; and took great joy in his goats, Leroy and Henry. His kindness, generous spirit, and love for those around him were evident in the care he showed not only to his family and friends, but to all the animals who were lucky enough to be part of his life.
Jay will be remembered as a man who worked hard, loved deeply, laughed often, and spent his time with the people who mattered most.
Jay was the beloved husband of Jenifer L. (FitzPatrick) Guy; devoted father of Jacquelyn Ann Guy of Tewksbury; cherished son of James and Lorraine (Collins) Guy of Wilmington; dear brother of Lynda Bolduc and her husband, John, and Leanne Jennings and her husband, Kyle, all of New Hampshire. He was the loving son-in-law of Jim and Barbara FitzPatrick of Reading and brother-in-law of Kelly and Pedro Fitz-Silva, Jim Jr. and Brenda FitzPatrick, Pamela FitzPatrick, Eddie FitzPatrick, Kristen FitzPatrick and Matt Johnson, Tom and Luciana FitzPatrick, Lori and Blair Addor, and Jesse and Kim FitzPatrick. Jay is also survived by his beloved Goddaughter, Madison FitzPatrick, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Family and friends will gather for visitation at Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, October 22nd, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Immediately followed by a blessing at 7:15 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus, 126 Middlesex Ave. (behind St. Thomas Church), on Friday, October 23rd, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be gifted to Jay’s daughter, Jacquelyn Guy to help fund her schooling and future aspirations in life. Jacquelyn Guy Fund, c/o Citizens Bank, 224 Main Street, Wilmington, MA 01887.
At the request of the family, all those attending the services are asked to come in every day casual attire, such as your favorite jeans and shirt. This is how Jay would have wanted to see you.
