WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Saturday, September 12, 2026:

The Wilmington Community Fund is hosting a Shredding Day from 9am to noon, or until trucks reach capacity, in the parking lot next to the Fourth of July Building (142 Middlesex Avenue). This event is free of charge to residents. Participants will be required to present a valid photo ID for proof of residency. Maximum of 5 banker boxes/bags of paper per person and will ONLY be accepted from trunks, back of SUVs or trucks. Paper clips, rubber bands and staples do not need to be removed. Please remove binder clips or other metal fasteners.

Boston Roller Derby, a Boston-based, female-only roller derby league, returns to the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) for a double header. Doors open at 4pm. Games are scheduled for 5pm and 7pm. Game #1 will feature Wicked Pissahs vs. Disco Infernals. Games #2 will feature Nutcrackers vs. Cosmos. Prepare to be amazed by the agility, skill, and fierce competition of the roller derby athletes. This event promises non-stop excitement and adrenaline-fueled moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A Memorial Service will be held on the Town Common at sunset to mark the one year anniversary since the passing of Charlie Kirk and to honor local Wilmington residents lost. Learn more HERE.
