NOT A SCAM: RMLD Installing Meters At Wilmington Houses Over Next Few Months

Below is a notice from RMLD (Reading Municipal Light Department):

WILMINGTON, MA — RMLD is performing AMI meter installations in Wilmington over the next few months. Here’s what residents can expect:

An RMLD meter technician will knock on your door wearing a yellow RMLD vest and an RMLD ID badge. Technicians will be driving a marked RMLD vehicle.

The installation takes about 15 minutes. The technician will complete the work whether or not you answer the door. No action is required on your part. You will experience a brief power interruption, typically less than 5 minutes. Once power is restored you may need to reset devices such as digital clocks or Wi-Fi routers. Your electrical service will resume with the same reliable power you expect from RMLD.

Make the most of your new meter by signing up for the RMLD customer portal: https://buff.ly/2SwlnNJ You’ll get detailed interval energy readings, spot high-use periods, and find opportunities to lower your bill.
