ICE In Schools, Opening Of School, New Administrators & More On Agenda For September 9 School Committee Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee meets this Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 6:30pm in the Town Hall’s Hearing Room.

There are some noteworthy items on Wednesday night’s agenda, including:

— The School Committee will receive an update from the Superintendent which is set to cover the Opening of School, Introduction of New Administrators, Recognition of Long-Serving Staff Members, Wildcat Logo, and AMLE School of Distinction for Wilmington Middle School.

— The School Committee will consider approving the PROTECT Act.

— The School Committee will consider approving the 2026-2027 WPS/WPD Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

— The School Committee will appoint the Superintendent to the SEEM Collaborative Board of Directors.

— The School Committee will discuss its own protocols.

— The School Committee will also receive subcommittee reports from members, and public comments from the audience.
