WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, August 1, 2026 and Sunday, August 2, 2026:
Saturday, August 1, 2026
A caller reported someone placed a number of traffic cones across Carter Lane, giving the appearance that the roadway was closed. Caller stated they saw juveniles running into the woods. Police responded and removed cones. (8:38pm)
W. Liston (35, Nashua, NH) was arrested for OUI Liquor; Child Endangerment While OUI (x2); Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle; Marked Lanes Violation; and Possessing Open Container Of Alcohol In Motor Vehicle. Caller reported vehicle left roadway and ended up in caller’s yard. Caller was concerned for the safety of the two juveniles in the vehicle. (9:17pm)

Caller reported one of the voting drop boxes at Town Hall appear to be broken, allowing access to items inside the box. Police notified Town Clerk. Adhesive on box appears to be broken and did not appear malicious. Public Buildings Department will follow up. (8:56am)
A car struck a pole in the area of Main Street and Lake Street. Verizon and RMLD notified. Vehicle towed. (7:40pm)
Employee at ice cream shop reported male party was openly drinking on the island in front of the store since 2pm. Man recently stumbled over towards CVS. Police responded and located individual at McDonald’s. He was given a ride to his home to the custody of his mother. (9:12pm)
Police came across two dirt bikes operating at around 60 MPH in the area of Clark Street and Main Street. Police lost sight of bikes going over foot bridge next to Meineke and chose not to pursue. (9:23pm)
