Paula Barbara Laine (Jones), 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Berthoud, CO on June 27, 2026. She was a beloved wife and her presence will be deeply missed.
Paula was born on August 24, 1956 in Boston, MA, growing up with her five siblings in Wilmington MA. Paula attended Wilmington High School and later graduated from Burdett Business School in Boston. Paula first met her future husband Tapani in 1983 at their workplace. It was love at first sight. Later Paula and Tapani moved to Mason, NH and got married in May of 1993. In 2002 Tapani’s job moved them to Berthoud Colorado.
Paula loved animals, gardening, decorating and painting. She loved family get-togethers at the summer cottage in Maine. She was involved with horses since childhood and that love lasted her entire life. She volunteered with various horse organizations over the years. She also loved her cat Tiffany and her dog Buttons.
Paula is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Tapani, her sisters Myra, Pamela and Melissa, and brothers David and Clifford. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Barbara Jones.
A private memorial service was held.
