Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:
WILMINGTON, MA — Maciej “Matt” Lipski, age 57, of Wilmington, MA passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026. He was born on September 18, 1968, in Bydgoszcz, Poland. In 1974, he was adopted by Witold “Victor” and Mary Lipski, who lovingly raised him.
Matt graduated from Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in 1987, where he studied carpentry. He later earned an electrical certification from the Kaplan School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2011.
Matt was a devoted husband and a loving father who always made sure his girls had everything they needed. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, and his love for them was evident in everything he did.
In his younger years, Matt was an avid lover of automobiles. He spent many years in the industry selling vehicles. His enthusiasm for cars extended well beyond work. He enjoyed taking rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, or driving to Castle Island in his Mustang or Chevelle. Although, if you asked Matt, his first love was his Camaro.
Matt was always surrounded by dogs and had a lifelong love for them. They brought him constant companionship, joy, and comfort throughout his life. Even in Matt’s final days, Jax brought him comfort and moments of peace.
Most recently, Matt ran a café through the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind that provided food to new military applicants and other military personnel. His café was more than just a place to eat—it was a place to gather where friendships were made and everyone was treated like family.
He was always known and will be remembered for his incredible cooking. He poured love, and not measurements, into every meal he made. The kitchen is where he felt most at home.
Matt is survived by his loving wife, Bridget; his daughters, Madelyn and Paige; and his faithful dog, Jax. He was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Mary Lipski, and his brother, Richard “Ricky” Lipski.
Family and friends are invited to gather for Visiting Hours at Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Avenue (Route 62), Wilmington, Massachusetts, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, concluding with a funeral service at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Kidney Fund (give.kindneyfund.org) in Matt’s memory.
