WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Thursday, July 2, 2026:

Cooling Center Message: With temperatures reaching extreme conditions the next couple of days, Wilmington’s Senior Center (130 Main Street) has been designated as a Cooling Center open to all residents of any age for Wednesday, July 1, 2026 and Thursday, July 2, 2026. To provide extended support to the community, Senior Center activities will end at 5 PM but the facility will remain open for cooling for any resident until 7 PM. Anyone needing relief from the heat is encouraged to stop in to cool off. Please be sure to stay hydrated, to stay cool and to check on others. If you have an emergency, please contact 911.

The Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive from 2pm to 7pm. Interested donors can call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to book an appointment. Donors can also visit http://www.redcross.org to schedule an appointment.

The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following events and activities: Baby Time (10am) and 20s/30s Pints + Pages (7pm).

The Wilmington Senior Center (130 Main Street) is holding the following events and activities: Gentle Yoga (9am); Weight Loss Support (9:30am); Art (9:45am); Bocce (10am); Meditation (10am); Knitting & Crocheting (10:30am); Chair Yoga (11:30am); Cardio Drum Fit (1pm); Senior Pool League (1pm); Ceramics (1:30pm; and Chair Yoga/Pilates (2pm). Town Beach at Silver Lake is open from 10am to 6pm. Wilmington residents, with proof of residency, may use the beach at no charge. Non-residents can purchase day passes at the Beach for $10 per person (ages 3 and up).

FEEDBACK SURVEY: The Town of Wilmington, with the assistance of Matrix Design Group Inc., is conducting an American Disabilities Act (ADA) Audit of all of its municipal buildings. As part of these efforts, community members are encouraged to complete the online survey below. The purpose of the survey is to gather feedback regarding accessibility and inclusion within town-owned facilities, programs, services, and public spaces. Responses will help identify barriers, improve accessibility, and support compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. All responses are confidential.
