LIBRARY NEWS: Wilmington Library To Hold 8 Programs Next Week, Including Summer Storytime On June 30

Below is a list of upcoming events from the Wilmington Memorial Library:

Library Closure: The library will be closed all day Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, for the Fourth of July holiday.

Needleworkers at Night
Monday, June 29, 6-8pm

These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in.

20s/30s Pints + Pages
Thursday, July 2, 7pm

The group meets on the first Thursday of every other month. The book discussion will be hosted by librarians from the Wilmington and Tewksbury Public Libraries. This month’s book is: Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green.

Youth Programs

Wilmington Community Playgroup
Monday, June 29, 10am

The Community Teamwork Family Resource Network is here weekly! Join CTI for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. Ages 0-6.

Pajamarama!
Monday, June 29, 6pm

Join us for some pre-bedtime pajama fun! Come in your PJs and bring a favorite bedtime lovey. We’ll read stories, play games and enjoy a yummy snack! Ages 3+

Summer Storytime for Ages 2-6
Tuesday, June 30, 10am

This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Summer Storytime will take place in the Stewart Room on the second floor of the library, however if the weather permits, we may move Summer Storytime outdoors to the Peggy Kane Reading Garden behind the library. Ages 2-6

Pokémon Club
Wednesday, July 1, 6pm

Pokémon fans, unite! Trade cards and complete Pokémon activities with friends! Grades K-5, siblings welcome

Baby Time
Thursday, July 2, 10am

Join us at our Baby Time! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 0-23 months

Summer Reading
The Summer Reading Program is here! You will be able to register and log your reading online at wilmlibrary.beanstack.org or grab a paper log at the library. Throughout the summer you can collect prizes and raffle tickets by reading and filling out a bingo card. This year’s program will be running from June 20th to August 13th, is for all ages, and has the theme: Plant a Seed, Read!

Check Out Our Library of Things

Book Store Next Door
The Bookstore Next Door is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by to purchase some new-to-you books!
