OBITUARY: Laurent M. “Larry” Boisvert II, 72

Below is an obituary from Michaud Funeral Home & Cremation:

LYNDEBOROUGH, NH — Laurent M. “Larry” Boisvert II, 72, a lifelong resident of Lyndeborough, NH, passed away unexpectedly at Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua, NH, on Sunday, May 31, 2026. He was born August 15, 1953, in Wilmington, MA, to parents Laurent and Barbara (Blaisdell) Boisvert.

Larry moved to Lyndeborough, NH, at the age of two and spent the next 70 years there. Larry’s lifelong motto was, “New Hampshire for darn sure”. He was a graduate of ConVal High School in Peterborough, NH. He attended Plymouth State University and later Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. While in high school, Larry was a member of the Naval Sea Cadets, where he worked on the destroyer USS Harlan R. Dickson. His time in the Navy inspired a love of the ocean. Larry was a proficient sailor and was a captain of several boats out of Marblehead, MA. He was a very passionate yachtsman. His love of sailing led to many great stories over the years about all his adventures, including his non-profit work assisting the Associated Scientists at Woods Hole Oceanographic with whale research off the coast of Cape Cod.

He was truly a one-in-a-million type of guy. Larry loved music and could play any musical instrument; his favorite was the guitar. Larry loved his wife, Sharon, whom he married in 1986. He loved helping others whenever he could; if a neighbor or friend needed a roof put on their house, he was the first person to lend a hand, simply because someone asked.

Larry was a man of many trades and passions, working many different jobs and owning many businesses throughout his life to support his family. The first business he started was with his mom, Barbara, called Peaceful Valley Pies. His next venture was Inland Winds, a sailing school that allowed him to share his love of the ocean with aspiring sailors. While working for KoKo Builders, he was labeled the problem solver for the team and earned the nickname, “The Egyptian” because he was the man who could always get the job done, no matter how large the task. He was also known as, “Supreme Commander,” due to his outstanding leadership. He later went on to successfully operate another business, Portable Privies, Inc. in Lyndeborough, NH. On that same farm, Larry and his wife, Sharon, founded Feel Good Farm, Inc., an airsoft field in 2007 where many young players came to learn the sport. Seasoned airsoft veterans know it as one of the best places around for competitive games and good memories.

Larry had a deep love for animals and was a true horse whisperer. He rescued many horses, fostering a safe and loving home. He operated a horse and buggy business with his wife Sharon, called Lyndeborough Livery – providing wedding ceremonies at places such as St. Patrick’s in Milford, NH, the Bedford Inn, the Amherst Country Club, the Town of Milford (Kaley Park and Keyes Field), and the Woodbound Inn in Jaffrey. Larry was a true cavalryman, who understood the needs of his animals. Larry took great pleasure in teaching the children about the animals and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with anyone willing to listen and learn.

The farm itself reflected Larry’s generous spirit. He grew high-bush blueberries and operated on a ‘co-op’ method – “Pick blueberries, leave us half and keep the other half”. It was a rare type of kindness.

When he wasn’t on the farm, Larry enjoyed many other hobbies. He was a talented skier and worked on the ski patrol at Temple Mountain and furthered his medical education by receiving his EMT certification. He loved Honda Gold Wing motorcycles, owning several throughout the years. On top of all that, Larry still found time to pursue his love of aviation and carry a private pilot’s license.

Larry was a clever and compassionate man, deeply loved by his family, friends and community. Larry welcomed everyone at the farm as if they were family. He indoctrinated love every day, touched hearts and radiated love to all those he encountered.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon (Bello) Boisvert of Lyndeborough, NH; his sister, Caren Grady, and her husband, Michael, of Bedford, NH; his sister-in-law, June Caron, and her husband, Jean, of Nashua, NH; as well as several nieces and nephews. His absence will be deeply felt.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Feel Good Farm to care for the expense of the horses that Larry so greatly loved.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be held at a latter date.
