LOWELL, MA — Michael P. Hebert, age 56, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Lowell, surrounded by his loving family. For 29 years, he was the beloved husband of Barbara “Bonnie” (Colucy) Hebert, and together they shared more than 30 wonderful years together. He was born in Lowell on March 9, 1970, a son of Judy (Grenier) Hebert of Lowell and the late Richard L. Hebert. Mike was raised in the Pawtucketville neighborhood of Lowell and attended the McAvinnue Elementary School. He graduated from Central Catholic High School with the Class of 1988 and continued his education at the University of Lowell, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in history. He made his home in Wilmington for nearly 30 years.

Early in his career, he was employed by Caldor and Demoulas Market Basket in the IT Department. He then worked as an IT Director for many New England hospitals and later served as Director of Technology for Vanguard Health Systems. Mike proudly kept friends from each of his jobs and frequently got together with all of them.

Mike was a dedicated member and officer of the Tewksbury Rod & Gun Club and took great pride in coaching the Tewksbury Smokin’ Clays Youth Scholastic Clay Trapshooting Program (SCTP). Trap shooting was one of his greatest passions, and he competed annually in Northeast ATA State Trap Shooting competitions. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his family and wife, Bonnie. Above all else, Mike cherished time spent with his family and especially loved being a devoted Pépère to his grandson.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie, and his mother, Judy, he is survived by his two daughters, Danielle (Dani) Hebert and her fiancé, Jake Marchant, of Lowell, and Jenny Hebert and her longtime partner, Jack Perino, of Wilmington; his beloved grandson, Jack “Smiley” Perino, Jr.; his brother, Dennis Hebert and his wife, Betsy, of Chelmsford; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
