ORDERING DEADLINE COMING UP: Rain barrels are available for purchase by Wilmington residents at a discounted price of $89 from The Great American Rain Barrel Company. If you are interested in purchasing a rain barrel or learning about the benefits of a rain barrel, visit their website at www.greatamericanrainbarrel.com/community and select “Wilmington.” The ordering deadline is Sunday, June 7, 2026 at midnight. Barrels will be delivered to the DPW Administration Building at 115 Andover Street for pickup by residents on Saturday, June 20, 2026 between 9am and 11am. TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
