WILMINGTON, MA — Team Blue of ERA Key Realty Services helped raise $2,380 for BluePath Service Dogs at its annual Kentucky Derby party.
Team Blue and DaMore Title and Closing, a Kriss Law LLC Company based in Burlington, hosted the party at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus. BluePath Service Dogs, which is based in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., provides service dogs to individuals with autism.
The Derby-themed event featured raffle prizes donated by local businesses, signature cocktails, food and drinks, contests for Best Dressed and Best Hat, and plenty of race day excitement.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from our community, sponsors and everyone who attended this year’s event,” said Team Blue Leader Lori Penney. “Our Kentucky Derby party has become one of our favorite traditions, and being able to combine a fun community event with a meaningful cause makes it even more special.”
The event featured more than 20 raffle prizes, including Red Sox tickets, a Yeti cooler, custom cornhole boards, scratch ticket baskets and more, all generously donated by local businesses and supporters. Those who donated to the event included:
Wilmington donors included Botox Bella, CARMA Salon & Spa, Copper Hearts, Eric Abeniam of Cross Country Mortgage, Designs by Don Florist and Gifts, Timbercon Woodworks, Waggin’ Trails Dog Hiking and WOW Factory Auto Detailing.
Other donors included DaMore Title & Closing, Burlington; Eselle Salon, Peabody; Faces Brewing Co., Malden; Shant Banosian, Guaranteed Rate Mortgage, Waltham; Laura Piro, LBP Insurance Agency, LLC, Reading; Scott Advisory Group, Windham, N.H.; Set the Stage Boston Metro North, Woburn; Skin Savvy, North Reading; Teresa’s Ristorante Bar & Pizza, Woburn, and Rick Bettencourt, Veteran Mortgage Brokers, Middleton.
“Team Blue and DaMore Title and Closing would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the generous businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes and helped make the event such a success,” Penney said.
BluePath Service Dogs trains service dogs to provide safety, companionship and independence to individuals and families affected by autism. Team Blue and DaMore Title and Closing selected BluePath this year because of the profound impact the organization makes in the lives of those they serve, Penney said.
