WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, April 28, 2026:
T. Williams (27, Burlington) was served a summons for Motor Vehicle Lights Violation; License Not In Possession; and Unlicensed Operation Of Motor Vehicle. (1:13am)
Police transported an injured bird to a wildlife rehab facility in Hopkinton. (9:04am)
A caller reported a man was walking around her property taking photos. She was not home, but her son was. Police responded. Man was gone by the time police arrived, but a card was left from the Board of Assessors. Card was legitimate. Grandparent arrived on scene. (12:27pm)
A large turtle was under a vehicle on Adelaide Street, preventing it from leaving. (1:57pm)
School bus was involved in a 2-vehicle crash at Shawsheen Avenue and Richmond Street. Bus had departed the West Intermediate School. No injuries noted. Street was shut down. Transportation Director contacted. North Reading Transportation was sending another bus. West Intermediate Principal came to scene. Kids got onto the newly arrived bus and was taken back to the West for reunification with parents. Bus and other vehicle — a jeep — were towed. Bus driver was cited for failure to stop/yield. (3:10pm)
A caller reported a dark colored SUV pulled out of Cumberland Farms with a juvenile in the trunk spraying water guns at a dark silver Jeep Grand Cherokee. Police were unable to locate. (9:20pm)
