Dear Editor and Wilmington Residents,
I am writing to express my sincere and enthusiastic endorsement and support of Gary DePalma for the Wilmington Select Board. Gary has demonstrated his commitment to supporting education, senior services and housing, and public safety. He is a thoughtful leader and deeply committed to public service.
Throughout his time as a Select Board member, Gary has consistently put the safety and well-being of Wilmington residents first, and that commitment extends directly to our schools and the children they serve. Gary publicly supported the new PreK-5 school, a project that Wilmington voters overwhelmingly endorsed at Town Meeting last year. He backed it not as a luxury, but as a necessity. Consolidating three aging schools into one modern facility is a major investment in our children’s future and in the vitality of our entire community, and Gary remains fully committed to seeing the project through to completion.
Gary believes deeply in public education. He understands that educating our young people is one of the most important services our town provides, an investment not just in individual students, but in the future of Wilmington. As a Select Board member, Gary recognizes that the Board plays a critical role in determining how much funding is available for schools alongside all other town services, and he takes that responsibility seriously.
His commitment to residents goes well beyond education. Gary championed our new Senior Center, fought for a new emergency stop light at the public safety building, and worked with our State Representative to secure funding for a drone search and rescue system for our police department.
Looking ahead, Gary remains focused on smart, sustainable growth for Wilmington. He supports the Economic Development Committee’s work to attract new businesses and continues to champion a Public Safety substation on the North side of town, so every neighborhood receives the protection it deserves.
Gary is also a careful fiscal steward. He evaluates every expenditure with one central question: Does it benefit the town, and most importantly, the residents? He is committed to controlling costs, exploring public-private partnerships, and growing revenues without increasing the burden on taxpayers.
Gary DePalma is a leader who listens, acts, and advocates for all of Wilmington’s residents. Please join me in casting your vote for Gary DePalma for the Wilmington Select Board on Saturday, April 25th.
Very truly yours,
Jennifer R. Bryson
