Dear Editor,
The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library would like to thank all our donors, shoppers, and volunteers. Without you, the jewelry sale would not be the successful fundraiser—or the fun, community event—it has become over the past six years.
Thank you to the many people who donated jewelry—pieces they no longer wear or items from loved ones. Your generosity makes this event possible.
We are especially grateful to our volunteers, who put in long hours pricing, displaying, and helping sell the countless boxes of jewelry. We hope everyone who helped over the past two days is now enjoying a well-deserved rest or spending their Sunday doing something fun.
Many thanks as well to the more than 300 people who attended the sale and shopped in support of the library. We hope you are enjoying every shiny treasure you found.
A special thank you goes to the jewelry committee, whose members work year-round collecting, sorting, and carefully examining each piece that comes through the library’s doors.
Finally, our biggest thanks go to the Wilmington Memorial Library staff for their ongoing support, assistance, and patience with all our requests.
Please remember that we accept gently worn jewelry donations all year long. Items can be dropped off at the library’s circulation desk.
Mark your calendars for April 2 & 3, 2027, for our seventh annual sale—we look forward to seeing you next spring!
Thank you,
The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library and the Jewelry Committee
