OBITUARY: Frank C. Brennan, Jr., 89

Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — Frank C. Brennan, Jr., age 89, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 28, 2025.

Born on April 4, 1936, Frank was the beloved son of the late Frank and Ethel (Read) Brennan. He was raised and educated in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and was a graduate of Cambridge High School.

Following high school, Frank proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his country from 1954 to 1965 with the Air Force Reserves. He was honorably discharged and returned home to Cambridge, always remaining proud of his military service.

On February 2, 1964, Frank married the love of his life, Roberta Blackberg. Together they made their home in Cambridge, where they began raising their family. In the mid-1970s, Frank and Roberta moved their family to Wilmington, where they settled into the community and made it their lifelong home.

Frank worked for over 30 years in the Data Entry Department at the TRW Company. A dedicated and hardworking employee, he witnessed and helped implement many changes in the evolving data entry field throughout his career.

Family was the center of Frank’s world. He especially enjoyed traveling with his family and participating in trips organized by the Wilmington Recreation Department, whether for day outings or overnight adventures. Some of his most cherished trips included visits to Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach. Quiet by nature, Frank was known to be social and funny once you got to know him. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a man who worked hard and loved his family unconditionally.

Frank was the beloved husband of Roberta L. Brennan (Blackberg), and the devoted father of Deborah Brennan and Stephen Brennan, all of Wilmington. He was the dear brother of the late Harold Hopkins. He is also lovingly remembered by his “fur grand-kitty,” Kono, as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Saturday, January 10th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., concluding with Military Honors at 3:00 p.m.
