5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Tuesday, January 2, 2024: Curbside Collection Of Christmas Trees Begin Today

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Tuesday, January 2, 2024:

  • The Wilmington Planning Board meets at 7:30pm in the Town Hall Auditorium. Read the agenda HERE.
  • The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding the following activities: Hiking Group (9am); Dance & Tone Class (9:30am); Beading Group (10:30am); and Functionally Fit (2pm). Learn more HERE.
  • The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a Preschool Storytime at 10am. Learn more & register HERE.
  • The Wilmington Town Museum (430 Salem Street) is open for free tours from 10am to 2pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
  • The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury) is holding bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday. Doors open at 4pm. Bingo starts at 6:45pm.
  • The Shawsheen Tech School Committee’s Policy Subcommittee meets at 5pm in the School’s Conference Room. Read the agenda HERE.
  • STARTS TODAY: The Department of Public Works will be collecting Christmas trees curbside from Tuesday, January 2, 2024 through Friday, January 12, 2024.  Residents should remove all decorations and plastic wrapping from their tree and place it curbside on their regular trash pickup day.  It is anticipated that the collection will take approximately two weeks.
