Wilmington Police Introduce PRIDE Patch For Month Of June

Below is a press release from the Wilmington Police Department:

WILMINGTON, MA — June is right around the corner, and since June is LGBTQ+ pride month, the Wilmington Police are excited to introduce our new LGBTQ+ Pride Patch. Starting June 1st and during the entire month, Wilmington Police Officers will have the option to wear this new patch to show support for our employees and community members who are LGBTQ+. These patches will be for sale at the front desk of the police station.

The patches are $10 each and all the proceeds will go directly to NAGLY (North Shore Alliance of GLBTQ Youth). Please visit their website for more information on the great work they do!

We will be at the Wilmington Farmers Market on Sunday, June 11th and 25th with representatives from NAGLY to collect donations for the organization. There will also be a cruiser on display! Any questions can be directed to Officer Michael DiLorenzo at mdilorenzo@wpd.org.
