LETTER: Selectwoman Judy O’Connell Endorses Jim DeFeo For Select Board

Dear Wilmington Residents,

It is with excitement and enthusiasm that I write this letter in support of Jim DeFeo as a candidate for the Wilmington Select Board.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Jim as a fellow Wilmington resident and friend for some time and I continue to respect his commitment to his family, friends and our community. Additionally, I admire Jim’s dedication to public service through his work as a Boston police officer and a small business owner. Finally, I would like to thank Jim for his service to our country as he is a proud military veteran having served in the United States Army.

If elected to the Wilmington Select Board, I believe Jim will demonstrate a superior ability to handle this role with fairness, professionalism and respect while ensuring the town’s business is conducted in an open and transparent manner. In my opinion, Jim is intelligent, articulate and has the temperament needed to be a member of the Wilmington Select Board. Jim is a candidate who can and will participate in important discussions by adding value to these deliberations by saying what needs to be said and doing what needs to be done. This skill set is critical as the Town of Wilmington will be facing many important decisions in the days to come and we need a strong Select Board member to help our community navigate through the dynamic process of town government. Jim is the right person for this role.

In closing, please join me on Saturday, April 22nd in voting to elect a very deserving candidate, Jim DeFeo, to the Wilmington Select Board. Thank you.

Judith L. O’Connell
