Dear Wilmington,
On Saturday, April 22, we will once again have the chance to go to the polls and cast a ballot for town-wide offices. I am writing to encourage you to join me in voting Gary DePalma for reelection to the Select Board.
I have had the pleasure of getting to know Gary both personally and through our work together on various town boards and committees. I can think of few people who love this town as much as he does. In his first term on the Select Board, Gary has worked incredibly hard to advocate for causes he believes in, and I can say with certainty that he will continue that advocacy in his next term.
Gary has been a strong advocate for development in town and will continue to try and attract businesses to Wilmington. In his time on the Select Board, he has supported the building of a new Senior Center, the Wildwood School / MSBA project, the temporary relocation of our Wildwood students to the Middle School, and has been a vocal supporter of a North Wilmington fire substation.
Gary also has an ability to, to steal a term used at a recent Select Board meeting, “disagree without being disagreeable.” Whether you are on the same side or the opposing side of a given issue, Gary will always treat you with the kindness and respect you deserve.
Gary DePalma has earned my vote for another term on the Select Board, and I encourage you to join me in voting for him on April 22.
Thank you,
Jesse Fennelly
