HYANNIS, MA — Rosemary Patricia Walker, 65, of Hyannis, MA died in the early morning of Nov. 25, 2022 after a two-year struggle with lung cancer. She was in hospice care at Royal of Cotuit in Mashpee for about a month.
Rosemary is survived by her brother, Thomas Walker of Yarmouth, MA and his wife, Marnie; her brother, Steven Walker of Lisbon, NH and his wife, Heather, and nieces Anna Walker and Kayla Walker.
Rosemary is predeceased by her parents, Harold C. Walker and Marianne E. Walker, both formerly of Centerville, MA. Harold Walker was a Captain in the Air Force and moved frequently. Rosemary was born at Landstuhl US Army base in West Germany in 1957, and after that lived in various bases and towns, including (in order): Wright Patterson Air Base near Columbus, Ohio; Penn State U; Otis Air Base on Cape Cod; Fort Stewart Army Post in Georgia; Wilmington, MA; Hanscom Air Base; Chelmsford, MA; then went back to West Germany and finished Junior High at Ramstein Air Base, and graduated in 1975 from Kaiserslautern American High School.
After High School, she moved to Hollywood to follow her dreams of being an actress. After a few years, Rosemary moved to Cape Cod and finished her secretarial certificate at Fisher College. She spent the rest of her time in various locations on the Cape.
Rosemary loved drawing and telling jokes.
Her favorite church was Living Hope Family Church of Hyannis. After a private graveside service at the Oak Neck Cemetery on Sea Street in Hyannis, there will be a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Living Hope Family Church on 46 Mitchell’s Way in Hyannis. A small reception at the church will follow.
