OBITUARY: Cathleen M. (Roche) Jenkins, 59

BILLERICA, MA — Cathleen M. (Roche) Jenkins, age 59, beloved wife of David P. Jenkins, died Tuesday, August 9 at Care One in Wilmington after a brief illness.

She was born in Tewksbury, December 3, 1962 a daughter of Yvette (Aubrey) Roche of Billerica and the late Gerald B. Roche and has been a lifelong Billerica resident.

Cathy was employed as an Administrative Assistant for the Shawsheen Technical High School Guidance Department and had previously worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Billerica Memorial High School Guidance Office.

She enjoyed spending time with her husband at their place in Old Orchard Beach Maine as well as knitting, crocheting and puzzles and will be remembered for her love of the Patriots.

Beside her husband and mother she is survived by two sons, Kyle Jenkins and Nathan Jenkins both of Billerica; one brother Gerald Roche and his husband Barry Cate-Roche of Brookline, NH; two sisters, Mary Sweeney of Harvard and Carol Couture of Lowell; her grandchildren, Nathan Jenkins Jr and Kiana Brown as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved dog Klancy.

Visiting hours were held Saturday, August 13, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1 – 4 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 3:45 p.m. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, http://www.stjude.org, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, http://www.jimmyfund.org or to the charity of one’s choice.
