The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
  • Know someone who does good deeds in the community? Everyone could use a little good news these days! In keeping with this thought, WCTV has launched a new podcast called “Good Deeds.” This podcast will feature Wilmington residents of all ages as well as those who live or work in Wilmington or provide services to our community and perform good deeds. WCTV will be accepting nominations and stories about “Good Deeds” from anyone in our community who has a story to share. In addition to individual nominations, WCTV will be looking at social media and other sources to find and share all the amazing good things that are going on in our community and beyond. No act of kindness is too large or too small to be considered for broadcast. The podcast will be taped at WCTV Studios at 10 Waltham Street, Wilmington. We will also take a picture or share appropriate images of those performing their “good deeds” along with the podcast. We may also excerpt portions of the podcast and images for television where appropriate and the podcast will be promoted on our television channels. For more information, or to nominate yourself or someone else in our community, please email Lisa Kapala at WCTV (lisa@wctv.org).
