Below is a press release from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation:
WILMINGTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing the closure of two right travel lanes on I-93 southbound near exit 35 (old exit 41) Route 125, in Wilmington. These closures will occur from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2.
The right travel lane on Route 125 westbound and the on-ramp from Route 125 to I-93 southbound will also be closed temporarily from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2.
These temporary impacts are necessary to allow work crews to continue repairs to a damaged beam on the bridge carrying Route 125 over I-93. Additional work to complete repairs is scheduled for the following two weekends.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
