WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Friday, April 1, 2022:
- LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE: Friday, April 1, 2022 is the last day to register to be able to vote in the Annual Town Election and the Annual Town Meeting. You must be registered to participate. You can register online at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/ or visit the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall (Room 12). The Office will be open late — until 8pm — on April 1.
- The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding Zumba at 9am; Sewing at 9:30am; Chair Yoga at 12:30pm; and Poker at 1pm. Learn more HERE.
- TAKE THIS SURVEY: Wilmington’s Rink and Recreation Committee released a survey in the spring of 2021. Please take a few minutes to complete this follow-up survey so that the committee can learn more about initial feedback that was received. The survey can be accessed by the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9K8HZFT.
- DONATE TO A GOOD CAUSE: Help support Wilmington High School Class of 2022 Seniors in proudly displaying their senior banner on the tennis courts. The cost of the banners fall outside the senior class budget and a group of moms are helping to raise funds in order to continue this nice tradition started during COVID. Additionally, funds will also be used to support the Senior Class Promenade, scheduled to be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 4:30pm at the Town Common or, alternatively in case of bad weather, at Wilmington Middle School. While any amount is welcomed and appreciated, organizers are kindly requesting Senior parents donate a minimum of $50, which will cover the cost of the Senior banner and planning activities for the Promenade. Payment can be made via Venmo to either Melissa Erickson @melissaerickson99 (last 4 digits 5523) or Lindsay Viana @lindsay-viana (last 4 digits 0494). Please do not select “goods or services” in order to avoid a surcharge. Please include your Seniors Name-2022 Class Fundraising when completing the transaction. This will allow organizers to download the list of transactions for tracking and transparency.
- CALENDAR RAFFLE TICKETS AVAILABLE: The public is invited to try their luck in the Shawsheen/West Pac’s Calendar Raffle. Each ticket gives you a chance to win 30 days of prizes valued at over $3,500 during the month of April. Raffle entries are $15 each and can be purchased HERE. Winners will be notified nightly and announced on the PAC’s Facebook page.
