Wilmington Police Officer Michael Wandell Promoted To Sergeant

Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Police Department:

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Police Chief Joseph Desmond is pleased to announce that Town Manager Jeff Hull has appointed Michael Wandell to the position of Sergeant with the Wilmington Police Department. Sergeant Wandell has been with the Wilmington Police Department since October of 1999.

In an announcement to Department personnel, Chief Desmond stated that, “Sergeant Wandell has served as an exemplary patrol officer, to whom other officers have often sought guidance and assistance over the years.”

In addition to his role as a Patrol Officer, Sergeant Wandell was also an integral member of the Department’s former K-9 team, as he assisted Officer Eric Palmer and K-9’s Kimo and Ridic in their training. Sergeant Wandell has also served as a field training officer for over ten years.
