WILMINGTON, MA — Thomas H. Carbone, age 74, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Wilmington and Billerica, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2022.
Tom was born on May 6, 1947, in Woburn, MA; he was the dear son of the late Lewis and Margaret (Redmond) Carbone. Tom was one of seven children who was raised in a large and loving family in Wilmington, MA.
Tom was a hard worker throughout his entire life and never fully retired; he began his career at a young age working for R. J. Kelly Company in Burlington, MA in construction for many years. At the age of 21, Tom married his high school sweetheart and started his family where they initially resided in Cambridge and Woburn before settling in Billerica where he raised his children. Tom was dedicated to his children and grandchildren; he loved them unconditionally and always wanted to do what he could for them.
Tom was an avid Boston sports fan; he enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox at home or heading to Fenway Park with family to take in a game. Tom’s all-time favorite team was the New England Patriots; he loved watching their “Dynasty” over the last twenty years and was a “die hard” Tom Brady fan. Tom enjoyed cooking and making homemade soups and sauces. Tom was also very proud of his Italian Heritage and traditions; something he also taught his children.
In the 1980’s, after working many years for R. J. Kelly Company, Tom decided to venture out with his brother to start their own company, Furniture & Equipment Company, and then he later started his own company called Installations Unlimited. Tom’s endearing personality, commitment, and dedication to his business made him successful for many years.
Tom will be fondly remembered as a kind and generous man who would do anything to help anyone; he had a warm smile and a heart of gold. Tom’s love for his family and friends was evident in everything he did; he will forever be loved and missed by all.
Tom was the beloved proud father of Kimberly A. (Carbone) Bradley and the late Thomas M. Carbone, the loving grandfather of Anthony Carbone, who was the “apple of his eye”. Tom was the long-term companion of Darlene Raboin, dear brother of the late Catherine “Dolly” Dunnigan, late Lewis “Butchie” Carbone, Mabel Bova, Margaret “Peggy” Christiansen, late Marcia Maglio, and Louann Madrid. Tom is also survived by his step-grandchildren Maggie, Andre, Andrew, Ryan, and John who he loved dearly, as well as his many nieces, nephews and their families, his loving grand puppy Bella and kitty Hana Banana.
