WILMINGTON, MA — Jozef Cybulko, age 72, a long-time resident of Wilmington, formerly of Chelsea, passed away on May 21, 2021, at the Mass General Hospital in Boston.
Jozef was born in Bialstok, Poland, on March 18, 1949; he was the dear son of the late Wladyslaw and Jadwiga Cybulko. Jozef was raised and educated in Poland; he along with his brothers grew up on the family farm and he learned to work hard from an early age. Jozef immigrated to the United States over 45 years ago and settled in Chelsea, MA, where he met his future bride Barbara.
Jozef and Barbara were married 43 years ago and shared many great times together throughout the years. Jozef and Barbara lived in Chelsea before building their dream home in Wilmington in 1993. Jozef and Barbara became parents to their wonderful daughter Suzanna; she was the “apple of her Dad’s eye” and he was a very good father to her. Jozef was very proud of Suzanna and all of her accomplishments; he showered her with unconditional love and support and would do anything for her.
Jozef truly enjoyed his role as “Dzia Dzia” to his grandsons Bryce and Maksym; he looked forward to the times they spent together, summers on the Cape, school and sporting events or whatever made them happy. He lived for “his boys” and they were such a bright light in his life.
Jozef worked really hard to provide for his family; he always wanted them to have the best of everything and a wonderful life. For over 40 years he worked at General Electric in Lynn, MA, in the aviation department where he took on many roles. Jozef’s incredible work ethic, vast knowledge and friendly attitude made him quite a valuable employee throughout the years.
In his spare time, Jozef enjoyed working in his yard and planting his flower gardens, he looked forward to his daily trips to Elia’s Country Store and the time he spent with his family and friends.
Jozef will be fondly remembered for his love of people and animals; he had an endearing personality and was kind and generous towards everyone he met. Jozef was truly loved by all who knew him and he will forever be in their hearts.
