OBITUARY: John Stephen Robertson, 70

SALEM, NH — John Stephen Robertson, 70, of Salem, NH passed away on Sunday morning, February 21, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on May 7, 1950 to Gertrude L. (Smith) and Francis C. Robertson. John was raised in Lawrence, MA and attended local schools. He went on to serve in the United States Army from 1967-1970, completing two tours in Vietnam. This was where he learned to drive the big rigs and when he returned stateside, John began his career as a Tractor Trailer Driver most of which was with Pacific Packaging Products of Wilmington, MA.

In his spare time, John enjoyed watching NASCAR, camping, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

John is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Robertson of Salem, NH; his children, Joyann Robertson of Manchester, NH and Jeff and his wife Sandra Robertson of Derry, NH; his grandchildren, Saje, Giovanna, and Americo; his siblings, Mary Hannagan, Peter Robertson and his wife Nancy, and Aliceanne O’Leary and her husband William; as well as his former wife Joyce Robertson; and Saje’s dad, Tim Loring; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, John Robertson; his brothers, Francis, Stuart, Charles and William Robertson; as well as his sister, Patricia McGowan.

Calling hours were held on Friday, February 26th from 10:30am-1pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. Interment followed at the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in John’s memory to the Resident Fund, NH Veterans Home, 139 Winter St, Tilton, NH 03276.
