OBITUARY: William (Bill) Charles Jenczyk, Jr., 56

SMYRNA, TN — William (Bill) Charles Jenczyk, Jr., age 56, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Tri-star Stonecrest hospital.

He was born on September 1, 1964, in Cambridge, MA, the son of William Jenczyk, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Jenczyk. Bill lived with his parents in Medford MA from 1964-1968. He then lived in Wilmington, MA from 1968-1975 and moved to Littleton, MA 1975. He graduated from Littleton High School in 1982 and continued to receive a bachelors degree of accounting from University of Lowell in 1988.

Bill married Susan Laurel Jenczyk on June 15, 1985, They were married for 35 years. They lived in Littleton, MA until 2018 when they relocated to Smyrna, TN to be close to their children. Bill worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Toscano & Ardito as a staff accountant for 13 years. He then worked for Diccico & Gulman as an Audit Manager and then an Audit Principal for 13 years. He opened Jenczyk & Callzini and worked as a partner in the accounting firm for 4 years until retiring and relocating to Tennessee.

Bill took a Dale Carnegie course on public speaking which played a huge roll in his ability to speak publically. In 2017, Bill was invited to speak at USA 500 voices on Parkinson’s disease. Bill volunteered for over 25 years at Gander Brook Christian Camp and served for many years as a member of the Board of Directors. Bill enjoyed spending time with family, being in the outdoors and spent every second he could there. He loved camping, backpacking, hiking, golfing, fishing, and maybe most of all ice cream (is eating even a hobby?). He served as an elder at Leominster Church of Christ and was often found volunteering time for church events.

Bill is survived by the love of his life, Susan, his granddaughter Josie, father William Jenczyk, Sr. (m. Adele Jenczyk), brother Gregg Jenczyk (m. Danielle Jenczyk) & sister Karen Gallo (m. Matthew Gallo), children Joshua, Laurel (m. Kelly Jones), Briana, and Christi (m. Paul Garretson), nephews Matthew Vailliancourt, Eric Fields, Johnny Howes, and nieces Tiana Gallo, Jaclyn Gallo, and Vala Jenczyk, and one great niece, Vivianne Gallo.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Jenczyk, and brother, Daniel Jenczyk.

Though many knew Bill as a reserved and peaceful man, his senior year of high school he starred in his school play. Bill played the role of Inspector Clouseau in the Pink Panther. He received standing ovations and rave reviews.

Bill was lovingly known as dad, daddy, daddy-o, and, best of all, Fuzzy. Bill was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Bill was known for his kindness, generosity, his humor (puns and dad jokes), and his love for Christ and family. Bill leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, service, and adventure.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on February 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Smyrna Church of Christ in Smyrna, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gander Brook Christian Camp Attn: Scott Delbaugh 36 Oakwood Circle Milford, NH 03055.
