Library Rolls Back to Curbside Service Only
Due to the recent surge in COVID-19, the library has rolled back to Curbside Service only Monday through Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. The building will be closed to the public until further notice. Staff is available by phone Monday-Thursday 9am to 9 pm and on Friday & Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. Please check website for updates.

WCTV Live: Cookin’ The Books

Winter Backyard Birds
Monday, December 14 at 7 pm
Learn all about winter backyard birds from Steve Hale, who holds university degrees in marine biology, evolutionary biology, and ecology and is owner and founder of Open World Explorers. In this interactive program the audience members will be able to test their own knowledge with a bird quiz and ask questions. In addition, the presentation will cover the topic of the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count and provide informationon how newcomers can participate in a count near them.
Virtual Author Talk: James Patterson in Conversation with Hank Phillippi Ryan
Tuesday, December 15 at 7pm
James Patterson is the world’s bestselling author and creator of many enduring fictional heroes and series including Alex Cross, the Women’s Murder Club, Michael Bennett and Maximum Ride. James will discuss his two new releases, Deadly Cross and The Last Days of John Lennon, in conversation with author Hank Phillippi Ryan. Signed books will be available for sale before and during the event at Haley Booksellers.
Current Events Discussion Group

The topic for December is COVID-19. All are encouraged to read, listen, and watchthe resources on the registration page to become more informed about the topic and be ready to discuss with others. Led by facilitator Dan Hall.

Novel Ideas Fiction Book Group

Enjoy reading fiction? Join the library’s fiction book group led by Adult Services Librarian Erin Driscoll. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy of the featured book via curbside. This month’s feature book is The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich.

Family Craft Night
Monday, December 14 at 6:30pm
Join our Zoom event for a night of fun creativity with your loved ones! After registering, pick up your craft kits via curbside pickup, or at the first floor main desk! Please register every child that will be making a craft.
Kindergarten Book Club
Tuesday, December 15 at 4pm
Join us for a virtual book club for kindergarteners who miss storytime or those who love to be read to. We will read, talk about a few books and do a virtual activity.
Pop Tart Candy Cottages
Thursday, December 17 at 4pm
Create and decorate a decadent candy cottage made out of Pop Tarts, breakfast cereals, and candy (of course)! All materials provided, but feel free to customize your cottage by adding your own sweet favorites! After registering, you can pickup your kit via curbside. Grades 4+
Preschool Storytime
Tuesdays at 10 am
This storytime for preschoolers includes books, rhymes, and music. Ages 3-5.
Time for Twos
Wednesdays at 10am
This storytime for two year olds includes books, rhymes, music and movement.
Baby Time
Thursdays at 10 am
This program of songs, rhymes, games and picture books is for babies under the age of two years and their caregivers.
